MODULE FOCUS: THE GENERATIVE SOUND
We welcome to participate in these special Bay Area sessions: vocalists, musicians, yogis, teachers, sound healers, and practitioners interested in implementing Voice, Music, and Sound in their work. This interdisciplinary training is OPEN to ALL levels of experience and disciplines. The particular focus will be on creating generative vocal soundscapes with the use of simple instruments and medicine melodies.

These highly experiential three sessions will be based on the application of the Yoga of the Voice Certificate and will offer practical guidelines and a creative structure to help practitioners to organize their voice workshops and sound healing sessions. Encouraging high artistry and inspiring the vision and magnetism necessary to develop a fulfilling and sustained teaching practice. Each session can be taken independently.
AREAS of STUDY and EXPERIENCE:
Day 1: The Generative Sound and Voice
- Overview of the State of the Art of each Student Practice
- Breathing and Posture techniques to release more vocal power
- Experiencing the Healing Power of the Ragas
- The subtleties of Tone Magic and Sound Meditations
- Exploring your wild voice and your vulnerable voice
- Grounding the relationship between Sound, Healing, and Spirituality
Day 2: Embodiment: Introduction to Voicemology
- The Therapeutic Alliance between the Mindset and the Voice
- Embodiment: skills and guidelines to foster spontaneous expression
- Voice Cosmology: the Shaman’s medicine melodies, the Icaros
- Selection of simple instruments and accompaniment
- Steps to Create Listening and Sound Experiences
Day 3: Creating Space and Holding Space
- Foundational Group Dynamics and Group Facilitation skills
- Practicum and customized homework curriculum
- Student’s Presentations of Generative Sound Spaces
Students will accrue 20 hours towards the Yoga of the Voice Teacher Training Certificate (TTC).
The Vox Mundi School TTC is the only standing formative mentoring program that is self-paced, and comprised of Modules customized according to the practitioner’s interest. After application and enrollment in the TTC are completed, Modules can be taken in any order, location, or country. The TTC has contact hours and online hours to be completed within 18 months.
