Charles Amirkhanian interviews composer, performer, and former music psychotherapist Silvia Nakkach (pronounced ‘nah-kash’). Born in Buenos Aires, Nakkach studied composition at Mills College with Anthony Braxton, Pauline Oliveros and David Rosenboom. She has since gone on to become the founder and director of The Vox Mundii Project, where Nakkach uses her singing as a means of healing, and has explored the integration of classical and indigenous chants with other spiritual practices.
