Location: EMERYVILLE, in the EAST BAY at

THE BESLER BUILDING

Directions from MARIN COUNTY & 80 East:

Take the Powel St Exit, drive East, towards the Oakland Hills.
Same directions coming from 80 West.

Pass three stop lights, one is under the overpass.
Take a RIGHT on HOLLIS St, go 5 blocks and take a LEFT on PARK ST.

You'll see the Emeryville Civic Center, with high palm trees, and PIXAR Animation campus is on the other side.

Take a RIGHT, 1st right on HAVEN ST.
(Haven St is closer to the entrance door & lot.)

Parking: anywhere in the parking lot of the Civic Center on your right-side, nearest to Haven St. walk across the street & along the chain-link fence, & stop at the Black awning on the right-hand side. This is the front of the Besler Building.

Use the electronic directory to look for VOICE, or dial #2020
*if there is no response, and you have a cell phone call 510-595 0819 to be let in.

The door will unlock, proceed across the lobby to a door to the left of the elevator. Proceed up the stairs to the 2nd floor. Take a left out of the stairway and hug the wall to the left, all the way down the hall to #202. (on the right.)

If you prefer not to take HAVEN St, the next Right is HARLAN St, turn Right, and park, you are in the East corner of the Building. Walk through the parking lot of the building until you see the main door with the electronic directory.

From the EAST BAY:

From 580: Take the San Pablo St. exit (under the overpasses), just before the San Francisco exit, & Drive for 3 blocks take a RIGHT on San Pablo Ave,
take a LEFT on 40th st. Drive down 3 short blocks, that is HARLAN St.

The LOFT is right on the corner of HARLAN and 40th St, and right across from the entrance of HOME DEPOT Shopping Center, Starbucks, and other businesses.

HARLAN St. is three blocks WEST Of San Pablo Ave, and two blocks EAST of HOLLIS.

*take a right on HARLAN and the first left is the driveway to the Besler building, take a left and proceed to the green awning, on left OR

*TAKE the second right on HAVEN and park anywhere in the lot NOW on the left. Follow directions above to the Black Awning/front of building communication device.

Transportation & Directions from other Routes:

Nearest BART: MacArthur Station-on 40th st.

Located EAST of San Pablo, about 8 city blocks from the Vox Mundi Loft located at Harlan and 40th st.

There are many buses from the BART station that go West on 40th St, and also there is a FREE SHUTTLE is called EMERY GO AROUND

There are two of them that bring you one block from the Voice Loft and they take two different routes - with three different names displayed on the BUS: take the one that diplays: Hollis - you need to ask before you take it that you want to stop at PIXAR Animation Studies (yes, the big Walt Disney), or the other Shuttle display says: SHOPPER, and mostly runs on the weekend - it goes West on 40th Street, and will stop at 40th Street and Hollis (Hollis is two small blocks West from Harlan) you'll see huge numbers 4053 HARLAN on the size of the Building, on the corner of Harlan and 40th Street. Walk around the block until you see the entrance door with the Black Awning and the key pad.

Directions from the SAN FRANCISCO -ALTERNATIVE EXIT - FROM BAY BRIDGE - COMING FROM SAN FRANCISCO:

Stay in the very right lane of the bridge and take the first EXIT: 880 SOUTH/ALAMEDA - SAN JOSE
As soon you take the exit take the very right lane to: WEST GRAND Ave ramp - and take the next Exit - towards the Right): Maritime Street
At the 3rd light there is a boulevard intersection: MANDELA PARKWAY Blvd. Cross the intersection light, and take a left. (LEFT TURN IS NOT ALLOWED until 7PM). Follow the Blvd all the way around until you see the BEST BUY store (on your right). Take a LEFT on first stop sign: HORTON and a RIGHT onto 40th Street. Pass HOLLYS's stop light - Keep to the CENTER lane and take the NEXT LEFT onto HARLAN STREET (there is no light in this turn and you are across Home Depot shopping center).

YOU ARE HERE > When you are on Harlan, take the first left into the Parking lot of the BESLER building and Park after the BLACK AWNING on the PARKING LOT of the City Hall. Welcome. You made it!. Do not PARK on HARLAN.

ALTERNATIVE Directions from the SAN FRANCISCO
After the bridge, take (East) POWELL Ave, and follow the directions from POWELL Ave.

Go South on SAN PABLO AVE.
Pass the 45th Street light. Turn RIGHT onto PARK St.
Turn LEFT onto HARLAN ST.

Directions from I-880 North from places such as San Jose/Oakland/Freemont/Alameda

Take I-880 N.
Take I-980 E towards Walnut Creek (CA-24).
Take the 17TH ST exit towards SAN PABLO AVE.
Merge onto CASTRO ST.
Turn LEFT onto SAN PABLO AVE.
Turn LEFT onto 40TH ST.
Turn RIGHT onto HARLAN ST.

Directions from I-580 East / I-80 West from places such as Sacramento/El Cerrito/Richmond San Rafael Bridge

Take I-580 E/I-80 W
Take I-580 EAST RAMP towards DOWNTOWN OAKLAND/HAYWARD/STOCKTON.
Merge onto I-580 E. - Stay to the left, you will immediately exit left onto Macarthur
Take the MACARTHUR BLVD exit on the left towards San Pablo Ave.
Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp.
Turn immediate LEFT onto EMERY.
Turn LEFT onto 40TH ST ("Sleeptrain" shop on the Corner)
Turn RIGHT onto HARLAN ST.

Going I-80 East from the San Francisco Bay Bridge:

Take I-80 East
Take I-580 EAST RAMP towards DOWNTOWN OAKLAND(CA-24)/HAYWARD-STOCKTON
Merge onto I-580 E. - get immediately to the left, you will exit left onto Macarthur / San Pablo
Take the MACARTHUR BLVD exit on the left towards San Pablo Ave.
Keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp.
Turn immediate LEFT onto EMERY.
Turn LEFT onto 40TH ST (“Sleeptrain” on Corner)
Turn RIGHT onto HARLAN ST.

Going CA-24 West from places such as Walnut Creek/Lafayette/Concord

Take the CA-24 WEST ramp towards OAKLAND
Take I-580 RAMP towards SAN FRANCISCO/HAYWARD.
Merge onto I-580 WEST RAMP.
Take the MARKET ST exit.
Stay straight to go onto 36TH ST.
Turn RIGHT onto SAN PABLO AVE.
Turn LEFT onto 40TH ST.
Turn RIGHT onto HARLAN ST.

Going I-580 West from places such as Castro Valley/Pleasanton

Take I-580 W
Take the exit towards WEST STREET/SAN PABLO AVE.
Merge onto 36TH ST
Turn RIGHT onto SAN PABLO AVE.
Turn LEFT onto 40TH ST.
Turn RIGHT onto HARLAN ST.

Parking:
Plenty of parking on Harlan – only park on the side of our Building not across the street
More safe parking: Park behind the EMERYVILLE TOWN HALL - we share that Lot with the city of Emeryville. Located on HAVEN ST.

Don't park perpendicular to the BUILDING that is RESERVED parking for residents.
